About Over
elf howe Farm
Over Elf Howe is located in the Kentmere Valley in the Lake District National Park World Heritage site. We started farming here in 2015. We are committed to farming methods which preserve and enhance the environment.
In particular, we go out of our way to preserve and improve the bio-diversity of the environment in which we live and work. We are delighted that the local wildlife includes very rare White Clawed Crayfish, owls and otters.
Our livestock include a flock of sheep, herd of highland cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, bees and, of course, our wonderful sheepdogs Bell and Kep. Where possible we try and keep native and rare breeds which are ideally suited to our upland location.
